Job summary

Bournemouth Christchurch & Poole Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker for the Assessment team in Children's Services. You will take on a caseload, undertake Initial Assessments, complete Section 47 and section 17 enquiries, and contribute to strategy discussions in a fast-paced team.

The role offers a permanent contract with office-based work three days per week, and requires Social Work qualification, registration with Social Work England, and an enhanced DBS.

Qualifications

• Social work qualification and registration with SW England are required.
• Enhanced DBS is provided by the employer.
• Experience in child welfare and assessment work is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completing Section 47’s and section 17 enquiries.
• Conducting Initial Assessments.
• Working in a fast paced team.
• Participate in strategy meetings where necessary.
• Children and Family Assessments.
