Job Title:Social Worker – Safeguarding Team

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Social Worker to join our Safeguarding team in beautiful Northampton. Working full-time, you’ll dive into the heart of our community, making a real difference every day. This locum position offers a competitive hourly rate of £35.43 and additional travel allowances for those living further afield. What you will do:

Hold cases that transfer from the Domestic Abuse and Advisory Team at the first Initial Child Protection Conference or Child in Need meeting

Manage and support cases until closure, or transfer to the Children in Care Teams if they escalate to court proceedings or long-term care

Work with a diverse range of children and young people with varying needs, offering tailored support and intervention

Engage and collaborate with different services and professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children and families

Contribute to the development of practice areas within the team, bringing fresh ideas and approaches to safeguarding
