A renowned social services agency in Manchester is seeking a Social Worker to join their Young Child Safeguarding and Support Team. The ideal candidate will hold a Social Work qualification and have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in safeguarding roles. You will be responsible for protecting vulnerable children and working proactively with families. We are looking for a Social Worker to join a Young Child Safeguarding and Support Team.

This role requires a Social Work Qualification with a minimum of 3 years equivalent post qualified experience in permanent contract/s.

About the team

This team is responsible for dealing with the most vulnerable and in need of protection children aged 0 - infant in the borough. Working proactively, with a child-centred approach to each case is vital to ensure successful case progression. The team complete pre-birth assessments, complex child in need and PLO proceedings and child protection assessments. The team pride themselves on their ability to effectively and efficiently make decisions on cases at all stages of crisis intervention. They aim to work 'with' families and not 'do things to' families to ensure child centred and therapeutic working.

About you

A degree within Social Work (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) with a minimum of 3 years post qualified experience in permanent contracts is essential in order to be considered for this position. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in a children's frontline safeguarding Social Work team as well as key experience in initial court proceedings. A valid UK driving licence and vehicle are essential for this role.
