Job summary

Herefordshire Community Wellbeing is actively seeking dynamic, self-motivated Social Workers to join our welcoming team in Leominster. This permanent 37-hour role offers a salary of £36,363 to £40,777 plus a £3,000 welcome payment.

You will be registered with Social Work England, hold a qualifying degree, and have the drive to pursue further qualifications. A full, clean driving licence is required and you will work with external agencies.

Qualifications

  • Registered Social Worker with Social Work England and a qualifying degree.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance.
  • Be prepared to pursue further qualifications (Practice Education, Best Interest Assessor, and/or Approved Mental Health Professional).
  • Hold a full, clean driving licence and be willing to work across Herefordshire.

Responsibilities

  • Take on a range of adult social work duties including Care Act Assessments and person-centred support planning.
  • Conduct Mental Capacity Assessments and Section 42 Enquiries.
  • Work with diverse adult populations and adopt a strengths-based approach.
  • Engage in CHC and s117 work and collaborate with partner agencies.

We're looking for someone who:
  • Is a registered Social Worker withSocial Work Englandand holds a qualifying degree.
  • Has a deep understanding of current legislation and its real-world impact.
  • Possesses the drive to potentially pursue qualifications inPractice Education, Best Interest Assessor, and/or Approved Mental Health Professional.
  • Collaborates effectively with external agencies to build strong partnerships.
  • Holds a full, clean driving license and is ready to explore our vibrant county
