Your Role as a Social Worker:

• Providing accurate and objective advice and support to parents to enable families to thrive.
• Building meaningful, professional, and respectful relationships with families, leading assessment processes, and completing comprehensive assessments of parenting capacity.
• Managing a manageable caseload to get to know families well and tailor assessments to meet their needs.
• Receiving social work qualified line management, supervision, and support from dedicated practice managers.
• Accessing legal advice, bespoke training, and development opportunities within the social work service.
• Providing evidence-based, analytical, and comprehensive parenting assessments with clear recommendations for permanency planning.

Our Ideal Candidate should:

• Hold a Social Work Qualification.
• Be registered with Social Work England.
• Have at least 1 year’s post-qualifying experience with children and families.
• Be willing and able to work across multiple family assessment centres.
• Have experience in preparing high-quality parenting assessment reports for court.
• Be experienced in working with families to complete robust parenting assessments, demonstrating honesty, objectivity, and openness.
• Be willing to work as part of a team to identify and support parents’ needs and skills.
