Social Worker - Children In Care

Hourly Rate: £38

Work Pattern: Hybrid (1 day a week in the office)

The Role

The Children In Care team works with children of all ages who are in care. Responsibilities include finding adoptive placements, supporting long-term fostering plans, and working with complex young people in residential care or those returning home to family members. We are highly aspirational for our children in care and expect workers to promote good health, educational achievement, and positive relationship development as key foundations for a successful future.

Key Requirements

• Manage a caseload, develop, and progress care plans for children and young people in care.
• Find adoptive placements and support long-term fostering plans.
• Work with complex young people in residential care and those returning home to family members.
• Demonstrate excellent skills in direct work with children and young people and be committed to robust, timely permanence planning.
• Join a team comprising a Team Manager, Senior Practitioner, and Social Workers. We welcome applications from a diverse range of candidates to enhance our team and promote positive outcomes for young people.

Skills & Experience

• Recognised professional Social Work qualification
• Current Social Work England registration
• Essential: Car driver with full UK licence
