Job Title: Locum Social Worker – Adults Locality North Team
Specialism: Adults Locality with a focus on Learning Disabilities and Autism
Job Location: Wolverhampton, UK
Salary: £33.20 Hourly
Contract: 3 months – Ongoing, Full Time, 37 hours Monday to Friday (09:00 AM – 05:00 PM)
Candidates must live in Wolverhampton or be within a 30-minute commute of Wolverhampton with their own vehicle.

This opportunity as a Locum Social Worker in the Adults Locality North Team in Wolverhampton promises not only an engaging work environment but also the chance to develop your skills with a respected organisation. This role requires your expertise in learning disabilities and autism, along with a deep understanding of transforming care initiatives, joint funding pathways, and mental health legislation such as the Mental Health Act, S117 aftercare, and inpatient reviews. You will use your skills to complete MCA and community DOLS applications.

What you will do:
– Assess the needs of individuals with learning disabilities and autism and work collaboratively to develop personalised care plans.
– Support individuals through the dynamic support register and the building the right support to improve their quality of life.
– Collaborate with healthcare professionals to navigate and facilitate joint funding pathways for clients’ care needs.
– Apply your knowledge of the Mental Health Act to ensure compliance and support of legislation through S117 aftercare obligations and inpatient reviews.
– Prepare and process MCA and community DOLS applications to ensure clients receive appropriate care in community settings.
