We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and team-oriented individual to appoint into the post of Social Work Support Officer. As part of a busy social work team, you will provide essential administration support to Social Workers in Children’s Social Care.
You will need to be an experienced administrator with strong administration skills, which includes having a working knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, databases, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Minute-taking experience would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will also need to be highly organised, have excellent time management skills, be able to work towards and meet deadlines, and be able to build excellent interpersonal relationships with colleagues and service users alike.
This role will be the first point of contact for families, carers, and partner agencies, and so the ideal candidate will be able to manage difficult conversations tactfully, respectfully, and effectively over the telephone and occasionally in person. Therefore, successful candidates will need excellent listening, recording, and typing skills to record information accurately onto our internal database system (Mosaic).
This role is an administration/office-based post; however, there may be a requirement for limited travel on occasion, and so a driving licence and access to a car would be advantageous.
