Job summary

Kent County Council is recruiting a full-time Social Work Assistant for the Disabled Children's Team West 2 within the Strengthening Independence Service in Maidstone. You will support Social Workers, assess the needs of disabled children aged 0–17, and manage an allocated caseload.

The team offers extensive training and supervision, flexible hybrid working (home and office), and collaboration with Health, Education and the voluntary sector to deliver high-quality services.

Qualifications

• Experience in Children's Services would be essential.

Responsibilities

• Support Social Workers within the Disabled Children's Team West 2.
• Assess the needs of disabled children and young people aged 0–17.
• Manage an allocated caseload and work with Health, Education and the voluntary sector.
• Participate in supervision and training opportunities to develop practice.
