Cardiff Council is seeking an experienced Social Value Project Manager to lead social value delivery across its Development & Growth directorate’s capital programme. We're looking for an experienced and motivated Social Value Project Manager to lead the delivery of social value outcomes across the Council's Development & Growth Directorate's capital programme. This is an exciting opportunity to help maximise the positive impact of public sector investment, ensuring that our development projects deliver impactful benefits for our communities across Cardiff.
Working in line with the principles of the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015, you will play a key role in developing partnerships, creating opportunities for local people, and helping to tackle inequalities through employment, training, skills development, community initiatives, and environmental improvements.

You'll work on high-profile projects, collaborate with a wide range of partners, and help ensure public investment creates lasting social, economic, and environmental benefits for the city.
As Social Value Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating social value activity across the Directorates construction contracts, helping to shape requirements set out in tender packs and managing delivery at construction stage.
You will work closely with a range of partners including; contractors, schools, training providers, third-sector organisations, SMEs, and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities and maximise outcomes for communities and vulnerable groups most in need.

We're looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with a passion for delivering positive social outcomes and shares our vision for delivery high quality opportunities for all.
You will have proven experience of successfully delivering social value or community benefits projects in a public sector procurement environment, to current legislation.
You will have experience of working with a wide range of partners and developing and managing partnerships through collaboration.
Experience of gathering, analysing, and presenting performance data as well as monitoring performance is a prerequisite for this role, as is strong project management skills and excellent communications and organisational skills.
