Job summary

Status Motor Group in Rainham is seeking a hands-on content creator to own our online presence. You will appear on camera, film and edit walkarounds, new stock, and staff interactions, delivering engaging videos that generate online leads.

The role blends marketing insight with practical production work. You will drive a consistent posting calendar for TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, while evaluating performance and expanding our reach across email, events and local partnerships.

Qualifications

• Professional on-camera delivery and ability to present confidently.
• A portfolio or showreel of self-filmed and edited short-form videos.
• Strong editing skills across major software.
• Understanding of TikTok and Instagram best practices for growth.
• Ability to plan and maintain a regular posting calendar.
• On-site role in Rainham; UK work rights required.

Responsibilities

• Appear on camera as the face of our content: walkarounds and showroom life.

Job description

We sell quality used cars from our showroom in Rainham, and our customers increasingly find us the same way they find everything else: by scrolling. We want one person who owns that end to end. You will be in charge of our entire online presence and responsible for bringing in leads from online.

This is a hands-on job, not a strategy job. You will be on camera presenting, behind the camera filming, and in the edit cutting it together. If you like the idea of social media but not the reality of filming a walkaround in the rain and editing it the same evening, this is not for you.

Monthly pay: £2,500 | Full-time | On-site in Rainham

You will be the face of our content. That means appearing on camera regularly and confidently — car walkarounds, new stock, behind the scenes, customer handovers. You will also film our sales and workshop staff, most of whom are not natural performers, so getting a relaxed thirty seconds out of a busy salesperson is a real part of the job.

Beyond social, we want someone who thinks like a marketer. Where else should we be spending attention and money? Email, local partnerships, events, paid, the website, reviews — we are genuinely open, and we would rather hire someone with opinions than someone waiting to be told.

It is full-time and on site in Rainham. You cannot do this remotely — the cars and the people are here.

What we're looking for

• Confident and natural on camera — this role is front of camera as well as behind it
• A portfolio or showreel of short-form video you filmed and edited yourself
• Strong editing skills in whatever you prefer — Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci or CapCut
• A real feel for what works on TikTok and Instagram, not just what looks nice
• Organised enough to keep a posting schedule without being chased
• Able to work on site at our Rainham showroom — this is not a remote role
• Right to work in the UK
