Job summary

South Devon College seeks a Social Media Lead to own our social media presence and shape how we connect with prospective students, parents, employers, and the wider community.

You will lead our social strategy, create scroll-stopping content, build meaningful engagement, and ensure our channels have a consistent, authentic voice across platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing and executing social media strategies.
• Ability to write engaging captions and storytelling content.
• Strong understanding of analytics and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging content across platforms (video, graphics, captions, stories, campaigns).
• Manage content calendars and spot trends to grow reach.
• Collaborate with student ambassadors and curriculum teams to capture authentic College life.
• Build online communities through engaging and responsive communication.
• Manage paid social campaigns to support recruitment and brand objectives.
• Monitor performance, analyse insights, and use data to drive continual improvement.
• Protect and enhance the College's reputation across all social channels.

• Collaborating with colleagues, student ambassadors, and curriculum teams to capture authentic College life.
• Building online communities through engaging and responsive communication.
• Managing paid social campaigns to support recruitment and brand objectives.
• Monitoring performance, analysing insights, and using data to drive continual improvement.
• Helping to protect and enhance the College's reputation across all social channels.
