Job summary

Shield Waterproofing & Preservation is seeking a maintenance operative to carry out general repairs and refurbishment in occupied social housing. You will perform kitchen and bathroom works, plastering, plumbing, joinery and decorating, while maintaining safety and tenant care across properties in London/Watford.

Ideal candidates have trades experience, a full UK driving licence, and strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with residents and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Trades skills in plastering, plumbing, joinery and decorating.
• Experience in general property maintenance within social housing is preferred.
• Valid UK driving licence required.

This role involves carrying out property maintenance and remedial works within occupied and void social housing properties.

Location: London Office in Watford

Term: Permanent, Full Time

Key Responsibilities:

• General property repairs and maintenance

• Completing works safely and to a high standard


• Following health & safety procedures


• Identifying and reporting additional repairs


• Maintaining clean and organised work areas


• Protecting residents’ homes and belongings
