Job summary

Choice Care Group is seeking compassionate care professionals to join our residential care teams in Southampton. You will provide personal care, assist with daily activities, and administer medications as part of a rota that includes weekends. Full training and clear career development are provided.

Responsibilities

  • Providing personal care including bathing, toileting, dressing and help with feeding.
  • Medication administration.
  • Assisting residents with daily activities, hobbies or outings.
  • Following care plans and company policies and procedures.
  • Developing a supportive relationship with residents.
  • Maintaining written daily records.
  • Attending and completing training as required.

Salary: £12.80 to £12.80 Hour

Key duties
  • Providing personal care - including bathing, toileting, dressing and help with feeding
  • Medication administration
  • Assisting and getting involved in residents' daily activities, hobbies or outings
  • Following care plan guidance alongside Company policies and procedures
  • Developing an open, honest, and considerate working relationship with residents
  • Maintaining written daily records
  • Attending and completing training, as required

Where will you work?

Appleton House provides seven single, self-contained flatlets for men of various ages with mental health disorders, autism and associated complex needs. The location of the home, in Bitterne, one mile from Southampton city centre, makes for easy access to public transport and recreational, leisure and college facilities in the city centre. The home also has its own vehicle.
