We are looking for motivated and driven individuals with good values and a genuine interest in the care and support of Older People; with experience of care within a highly complex yet rewarding environment.

The successful candidate will undertake the keyworker role, which involves creating, monitoring, and reviewing care plans, keeping accurate records of support planning, and ensuring the service user is offered appropriate opportunities, experiences, and care as outlined in their care plan. The role also includes promoting service users' access to local community opportunities and enabling them to continue living meaningful lives.

We provide ongoing care and support to vulnerable older people; our services include care homes, respite, STAR unit, and day services.

The Person

• Provide care and support that meets the Health and Social Care standards.
• Work collaboratively with other Council services and partner agencies to support effective planning and delivery of care and support.
• Work flexibly and creatively within a dynamic and ambitious team.
• Have or be able to work towards the required qualification as specified by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). Once qualified, it is the individual's responsibility to inform the SSSC accordingly within the set timeframes.
• Work towards registration with the SSSC within 6 months of starting in the role, applying within 3 months of commencement. Maintain registration by achieving the necessary qualifications, completing Continuous Professional Learning (CPL), and submitting annual declarations via MySSSC.
• If you do not currently hold a benchmark qualification, your registration will be granted conditionally, pending the achievement of the required qualification within the specified timeframe.

Additionally, you will need to obtain PVG scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland before confirmation of appointment.
