Job summary

NHS Highland is seeking a dedicated support worker to assist older adults in living fulfilling, independent lives within the community. You will act as a keyworker, contributing to assessments, planning and reviews of individual care plans, and delivering care with dignity and respect.

You will collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams, support personal care, nutrition and mobility, and help develop activities that promote wellbeing and social inclusion.

Qualifications

  • SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards
  • Experience supporting vulnerable adults
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Organised, adaptable and able to work independently when required
  • Genuine enthusiasm for supporting older adults to achieve their goals and maximise quality of life

Responsibilities

  • Occasionally support the day-to-day running of the Day Centre in the absence of management.
