Job summary

Choice Support is looking for a proactive Team Manager to help deliver person-centred care in Biggleswade and surrounding communities. You will lead a team, support staff development, and ensure high-quality, safe support for people using our services.

The role involves coordinating rotas, maintaining documentation, and participating in safeguarding and quality checks. DBS checks and safe recruitment steps are part of the process. DBS and references will be reviewed for all applicants.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in social care (preferred in supported living, residential, or community services)
• Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care and in Leadership & Management, or willingness to work towards them
• Understanding of Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding
• Confidence using Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and care management systems

Responsibilities

• Ensure people receive the right support by keeping support plans up to date and reflecting needs and preferences
• Support and guide the team to deliver high-quality care, including training and onboarding new staff
• Plan rotas and recruit to ensure staffing levels meet people’s needs
• Lead by example, maintain safe, respectful practice and keep clear records and checks to sustain high-quality support
