Please note this is not a Swansea city council job. You will be working with a private client who received direct payments.

About the family

A little about myself:
I am looking for a bestie to take me out on adventures. I am a four-year-old boy who has ASD. I am active, enjoy climbing and running and being outdoors. My favourite places are soft play parks and open fields. I especially love parks with slides. I am content and happy child who rarely gets upset and if I do, I am easily distracted. My drink bottle and tablet help me to regulate when needed.

Role

Driver required to take me out.

  • Hours of work: Weekends but can be flexible around availability
  • Rate of pay: £13.13
Essential
  • Be an active individual. Have good running trainers who can keep up with me.
  • Ensure I am safe. Sometimes I can’t keep myself safe so I need a lot of supervision.
  • Willing to learn how to communicate with me
What the PA should be
  • Respect and understand the importance of privacy and confidentiality.
  • Be confident, mature and have patience.
  • Be dependable and arrive on time.
  • Be friendly with an easy-going manner.
  • Be adaptable and flexible.
  • Be supportive but not take over.
  • Have business insurance on your car to take clients out.
  • No experience needed but a willingness to learn about me.
Concerning the position

A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly (Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis). A DBS MUST be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea council where applicant is eligible.
