Perth & Kinross Council is seeking a Social Care Officer at Parkdale Residential Home in Auchterarder to cover Maternity Leave. You will follow care plans, support residents’ independence, assist with personal care, monitor wellbeing, and maintain records.

The role requires SSSC registration and progression toward SVQ7, with comprehensive training and a strong commitment to person-centred care. You will join a team that values dignity, independence and community involvement, with generous leave,

Competenze

• Register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
• Undertake personal development and work towards recognized qualifications.
• No entry qualification required, but progress towards SVQ in Social Services & Healthcare (SCQF level 7).
• Commit to applying for registration within 3 months and be registered within 6 months.

• Follow individual support plans.
• Support residents to maintain independence.
• Support residents based on assessed needs.
• Assist with personal care tasks to promote independence.
• Monitor and promote health & wellbeing of residents.
• Assist residents to access community facilities and activities.
• Help residents recognise and achieve their potential.
• Protect individuals from risk or abuse and report concerns.
• Ensure health & safety in line with PKC policy and procedures.
• Participate in assessments and maintain accurate records.
