Job summary

Cheshire East Council is recruiting a Social Care Assessor to undertake person-centred and strengths-based assessments in the resident’s own home, hospital or care home, with the aim of improving outcomes for residents and their families. The role also offers a wide range of learning and training opportunities and integrated working across the Health and Social Care sector.

We are recruiting for 2 x full-time posts (37 hours) and 1 x 30 hours part-time post, based in Macclesfield Town

Qualifications

• Experience working with varied customer groups.
• Knowledge of NHS and Community Care Act legislation.

Responsibilities

• Experience of working with a variety of customer groups.
• Experience of working closely with Health professionals.
• Experience of supervising/mentoring trainee staff.
• Understanding of human development, crisis intervention.
• Up to date knowledge of relevant legislations e.g. NHS and Community Care Act.
