Job summary

Cheshire East Council is seeking a Social Care Assessor to undertake person-centred and strengths-based assessments in clients' homes, hospitals or care homes, with the aim of improving outcomes for Cheshire East residents. The role also offers learning and training opportunities and integrated working across the Health and Social Care sector.

We are recruiting for two full-time posts (37 hours) and one part-time post (30 hours), based in East Short Term Services at Macclesfield Town

Qualifications

• Experience of working with a variety of customer groups.
• Experience of working closely with Health professionals.
• Experience of supervising/mentoring trainee staff.
• Understanding of human development, crisis intervention.
• Up to date knowledge of relevant legislations e.g. NHS and Community Care Act.
