Job summary

Worcestershire County Council in Worcester City Area Social Work Team is seeking a Social Care Worker. You will manage your own caseload under supervision, arrange support packages to help people make positive changes, and advocate for clients with health, statutory and voluntary partners.

The role uses the strength-based 3 Conversation model, involves a 30-hour week with a mix of office and home-based working, and supports weekly reflective practice and monthly supervision.

Qualifications

• Approving and purchasing support packages

Responsibilities

• Manage own caseload with appropriate supervision
• Approve and purchase support packages to help people make positive changes
• Advocate for clients
• Work in partnership with health colleagues, statutory partners and voluntary sector providers
• Apply the 3 Conversation strength-based model of practice
• Find creative, strength-based solutions with people
• Take part in weekly reflective practice and catch-up sessions, working across office and home
