Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cambridge, United Kingdom, seeks a SoC QoS/Fabric Performance Architect to shape on-chip interconnect and memory QoS features. You will build a full-chip C++ simulator and model AR/ML workloads for performance and power trade-offs across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Watch platforms.

You will learn state-of-the-art SoC IP, model dataflow, run performance simulations, and present results. Travel internationally for collaboration is required.

Qualifications

• C++ programming experience with strong debugging skills.
• Background in computer architecture and HW/SW stack.
• Experience with performance modeling and analysis.
• 20+ years of relevant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn state-of-the-art SoC IP and chip-level architecture including network-on-chip.
• C++ modeling of graphics, camera, and ML dataflow and integration with other SoC models.
• Run performance simulations of future applications.
• Analyze and present simulation results clearly.
• Tune and validate future SoC hardware/software for user experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams; travel internationally as required.
