Job summary

Aspire Technology Solutions is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst L2 for our Gateshead-based SOC team. You will monitor, detect and respond to security threats, lead investigations, and drive improvements to strengthen security for Aspire and its customers.

You will manage tickets, stay updated on threat intel, and work with EDR and SIEM tools in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high service delivery and strong customer focus.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, tools and techniques.
• Experience with incident response tools and platforms.
• Experience with managing and operating EDR platforms (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Defender for Endpoint).
• Experience developing and using a SIEM platform (e.g. QRadar or Azure Sentinel).
• Prior IT infrastructure or cloud experience (Azure or AWS).
• Previous experience in a 24x7 SOC.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations in line with QC/QA policies.
• Stay updated on threat intelligence and integrate insights into operations.
• Proactively manage and follow up on tickets and tuning candidates.
• Perform initial reviews of escalated tickets.
• Respond to customer enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Triage and investigate P5-P4 security incidents and support higher-severity incidents.
• Update the SOC wiki with use cases, playbooks and guides.
• Stay current with cybersecurity trends and best practices.
• Collaborate with team members and share knowledge.
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost SOC efficiency.
