Job summary

Aspire Technology Solutions, Gateshead, seeks a Cyber Security Analyst L1 to join our 24/7 SOC team at the Head Office. You will perform alert triage, investigations and support incident response to protect customers and improve detection fidelity.

Required are experience with security tools (CrowdStrike, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft XDR), strong communication, and a proactive learning attitude to thrive in a fast-paced SOC environment. Shift work and team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience monitoring security tools such as CrowdStrike, Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft XDR.
• Experience in IT-related roles and a security mindset.
• Comfort with shift work and fast-paced SOC environments.
• Good attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security queues, triage alerts and determine incident severity.
• Conduct in-depth investigations and correlate data as needed.
• Act as first escalation point for Associate Analysts and complex tickets.
• Assist in incident response and post-incident reviews.
• Improve detection fidelity through tuning and threat intelligence integration.
• Communicate with customers professionally and support IR engagements.
