Job summary

MAC Recruit Group Ltd is seeking a SOC Analyst to join their Glasgow team. The role sits in a 24/7 SOC, analysing security events, investigating alerts and supporting incident response in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience in a SOC, engineering, or similar cybersecurity role and will work hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days WFH) in Glasgow with shifts across a 24/7 schedule.

Qualifications

• Analyse security events and identify potential cyber threats.
• Experience in SOC, Security Engineer or similar cybersecurity role.
• Ability to interpret log data and investigate alerts.

Responsibilities

• Analyse security events, investigate alerts and identify potential cyber threats.
• Perform log analysis and correlate events across multiple security platforms.
• Support incident investigation, response and remediation activities.
• Deploy, manage, maintain and improve security tooling (SIEM/EDR/SOAR).
• Develop and implement automation to improve efficiency and incident response.
