Job summary

MAC Recruit Group Ltd is seeking a SOC Analyst to join their Glasgow team. The role sits in a 24/7 SOC, analysing security events, investigating alerts and supporting incident response in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience in a SOC, engineering, or similar cybersecurity role and will work hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days WFH) in Glasgow with shifts across a 24/7 schedule.

We're working with a growing technology business looking for a SOC Analyst to join their team in Glasgow.

Working within a 24/7 Security Operations Centre (SOC), you will play an important role in protecting clients from evolving cyber threats. You will work with a range of security technologies, analyse security events, support incident response activities and contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of security services.

Candidates must have at least one year of relevant experience in a SOC, engineering, analysis or a similar cybersecurity role.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and implement automation to improve operational efficiency and incident response.

What we're looking for

• At least one year of relevant experience in a SOC, Security Engineer, Security Analyst or similar cybersecurity role.
• Practical experience using, managing or supporting security technologies such as SIEM, EDR or SOAR platforms.
• A good understanding of cybersecurity principles, common attack techniques and threat detection.
• Ability to interpret log data, investigate alerts and recognise suspicious activity.

Location & Working Arrangement

• Glasgow office, with a 3 day in‑office and 2 day work from home arrangement
• The role will require a willingness to work shifts as part of a 24/7 operational environment.
