Job summary

Gamma is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst - Tier 1 to join our Security Operations Centre (SOC) in Glasgow. You will monitor security alerts, perform initial triage, investigate incidents, and help strengthen our customers' security posture.

Ideal candidates have a solid foundation in cybersecurity, networking, threat detection, and experience with SIEMs. You'll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with hybrid working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience applying cybersecurity principles in a SOC or security support role.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and threat intelligence.
• Ability to convey complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse security alerts using SIEM tools.
• Perform initial triage and investigate security breaches.
• Escalate and respond to incidents with clear documentation and actions.
• Maintain incident records and resolutions per procedures.
• Tune security controls and help develop detection use cases.
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers on security improvements.
• Stay updated on emerging threats and best practices.
