SOC Analyst: 24x7 Shift and Day roles CL10

Location: Cheltenham

Career Level: Senior Analyst

Please Note: Due to the nature of client work you will be undertaking, you will need to be willing to go through a Security Clearance process as part of this role, which requires 5+ years UK address history at the point of application.

Responsibilities

Be an integral part of our SOC team, responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for cybersecurity to gain hands‑on experience and grow within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

  • Monitoring and responding to alerts.
  • Escalating alerts where necessary.
  • Proposing tuning requests.
  • Producing reports.
  • Maintaining awareness of the latest threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Mentoring colleagues.
Qualifications
  • One to two years of experience in a similar role desirable.
  • A good understanding of computer networks, operating systems, software, hardware and security.
  • An understanding of cyber security risks associated with various technologies and ways to manage them.
  • A good working knowledge of various security technologies such as network and application firewalls, host intrusion prevention and antivirus.
  • Any relevant academic or industry specific training.
Desired Qualifications
  • Understanding of basic cybersecurity principles and concepts.
  • Knowledge of common attack vectors and malware types.
  • Awareness of security tools and technologies.
  • Good understanding of incident response principles.
