Job summary

TXP is seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer to join a major Central Government modernisation programme in the UK. You will design, develop, test and deploy Java-based RESTful APIs and microservices, focusing on scalability, resilience, maintainability, and integration with existing systems.

The role offers a 12-month contract with hybrid working: minimum 2 days per month onsite in Telford and remote during the rest of the time.

Qualifications

• Strong backend development experience in Java.
• RESTful API and microservices development with Spring Boot.
• Experience designing scalable, resilient microservices and service-to-service communication.
• Strong RESTful API design skills, including contracts and versioning.
• Automated unit testing with JUnit and JSON data handling.
