Job summary

Plan International in the UK is seeking a Snowflake Data Engineer to design, develop and optimise our cloud data platform, focusing on ELT pipelines with Snowflake, dbt and SQL.

You will integrate SAP S/4HANA and other enterprise sources, build scalable data models and ensure secure, observable, cost-effective solutions across the global organisation. You will work with stakeholders and global teams in a hybrid UK-based role, reporting to the Data Platform and Architecture Lead.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience using dbt for data transformation and modelling.
• Advanced SQL development and performance optimisation skills.
• Practical experience using SNP Glue for enterprise data integration.
• Experience integrating data from SAP S/4HANA source systems.
• CI/CD and DevOps practices within modern data engineering environments.
• Knowledge of data quality, testing and validation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable ELT pipelines using Snowflake, dbt and SQL.
• Develop reusable dbt models following enterprise engineering standards.
• Design and maintain data ingestion and integration processes.
• Monitor platform health and support production data pipelines.
• Collaborate with Data Architects, Reporting & Analytics teams and IT to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Ensure data models support current and future analytical use cases.
