Job summary

Custom Interconnect Limited is seeking an SMT line operator to run the surface-mount line and support PCB assembly at our Andover facility.

The role involves loading and operating paste, print and pick-and-place machines, with responsibility for quality checks before and after reflow. Training will be provided, with emphasis on safety, procedures, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience running an SMT line to production schedule.
• Experience with surface mount PCB assembly incl. pasting, printing and loading pick-and-place machines.
• Inspection before and after reflow.
• Ability to interpret drawings and parts lists.
• Adherence to documented procedures and quality standards.
• Commitment to health and safety requirements and company IT policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate SMT line to meet production schedule.
• Assemble PCB using paste, print and pick-and-place equipment.
• Inspect assemblies before and after reflow.
• Interpret documentation including parts lists and drawings.
• Follow approved procedures and maintain cleanliness in SMT area.
• Assist training of team members and support supervision as needed.

After completion of training

Twilight (Monday - Thursday: 13:00 – 23:00)

Qualifications

• Running a Surface Mount line to production schedule
• Surface mount assembly of printed circuit boards (PCB’s), including pasting, printing and loading pick and place machines.
• Inspection prior and post reflow
• Interpret documentation including parts lists, drawings
• Follow documented procedures.
• Preventative maintenance tasks and general housekeeping of the SMT work area.
• Ensure all work carried out is completed to specified levels of acceptable workmanship.
• Ensure all work is carried out and completed in a timely fashion.
• Report any problems with products or process to the SMT production supervisor or production manager.
• Adhere to the Health and Safety requirements and regulations
• Adhere to the Company IT and Data policy
• Comply with the statutory requirements and regulations and Company requirements
• Carry out any other reasonable request which is for the benefit of the business
• Assist in the training of team members ensuring best practice standards are maintained
