Job summary

Proactive Technical Limited in Baldock is seeking an SMT Operator to join a market-leading manufacturing company. This permanent role offers career progression and development within a busy production environment.

You will work to SMT department practices, operate paste printers, load components, and inspect finished boards to IPC 610 standards, with a focus on quality and safety. Hours 08:00–16:30, salary £28,000–£31,000.

Qualifications

• Experience with SMT production processes.
• Familiar with IPC 610 quality standard.
• Understanding of health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate SMT paste printers and SMT machines.
• Load components and inspect for quality.
• Operate SMT reflow ovens and perform visual IPC 610 checks.
• Hand-fit components when required.
• Follow environmental, quality (ISO 9001) and health & safety procedures.
• Adhere to company policies and continuous improvement.

Hours: 08:00am - 16:30pm

Proactive are currently in search of a SMT Operator to start work for a market leading manufacturing company based in Baldock. This permanent position and an exciting opportunity offering career progression and development.

Responsibilities

• To work to SMT department working practices.
• Operate SMT paste printers
• To check and load components, operate SMT machines
• To operate SMT reflow ovens
• To conduct visual inspection to ensure good quality product, working to IPC 610 standard.
• To hand fit components when required
• Follow the Company's environmental policy, procedures and instructions to minimise environmental impacts from its activities.
• Adhere to AS/EN 9100 & ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures.
