Job summary

Proactive Technical Limited in Stevenage is seeking an SMT Operator to join a market‑leading manufacturing company. This permanent role offers stable hours from 08:00 to 16:30 and a salary of £28,000–£31,000 per year, with career progression opportunities.

You will operate SMT paste printers, load components, run SMT machines and reflow ovens, perform visual IPC 610 quality checks, and assist with hand-fitting components while adhering to quality, safety and environmental standards.

Salary: £28,000 - £31,000

Hours: 08:00am - 16:30pm

Proactive are currently in search of a SMT Operator to start work for a market leading manufacturing company based in Stevenage. This is a permanent position and an exciting opportunity offering career progression and development.

Responsibilities

• To work to SMT department working practices.
• Operate SMT paste printers
• To check and load components, operate SMT machines
• To operate SMT reflow ovens
• To conduct visual inspection to ensure good quality product, working to IPC 610 standard.
• To hand fit components when required
• Follow the Company's environmental policy, procedures and instructions to minimise environmental impacts from its activities.
• Adhere to AS/EN 9100 & ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures.
