Job summary

Sodexo is seeking an SMS Deployment Manager for a 12-month FTC maternity cover. The role leads deployment of the Site Management System across multiple sites, building deployment plans, readiness checks and data validation, and delivering training to managers, supervisors and frontline teams.

The position is remote with travel to sites as needed and requires strong project delivery and change-management skills.

SMS Deployment Manager - 12 months FTC - (Maternity Cover)

Location: Remote (travel to sites as needed)

Contract: Full-time

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people, supporting change and helping teams get the best out of digital tools. As our SMS Deployment Manager, you'll play a key role in rolling out our Site Management System (SMS) across multiple sites, making sure each location is fully prepared, trained and confident using the system as part of everyday operations.

This role is hands-on, collaborative and ideal for someone who likes bringing structure to busy environments, solving problems on the ground and helping teams feel supported through change.

Requirements

• Leading the deployment of SMS across agreed sites and segments
• Building clear deployment plans with milestones, risks and go live dates
• Carrying out readiness checks to make sure each site has the right data, resources and setup in place
• Working closely with site teams to gather and validate operational data (rooms, tasks, frequencies, resource plans, QR/NFC requirements)
• Coordinating activity with segment leads, site managers, superusers, TDDI and programme teams
• Supporting or completing SMS configuration based on operational needs
• Delivering training to managers, supervisors, superusers and frontline teams
• Being on hand during mobilisation, go live and early stabilisation
• Encouraging consistent use of SMS across cleaning operations
• Monitoring adoption, usage and compliance
• Spotting risks or blockers early and escalating where needed
• Preparing progress updates, dashboards and reports for governance groups
• Supporting benefit tracking (productivity, compliance, audit performance, task completion, service improvements)
• Capturing lessons learned and helping refine the deployment process
• Keeping deployment documentation, trackers and training materials up to date
• Supporting the transition into BAU once the site is stable
• Acting as a subject matter expert for SMS throughout deployment

Essential

• Experience in facilities management, cleaning operations or a similar service led environment
• Background in system deployment, operational change or project delivery
• Comfortable delivering training to different user groups
• Experience working with operational teams across multiple sites
• Good understanding of cleaning operations, task scheduling and resource planning
• Confident preparing reports, dashboards or governance updates
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
• Comfortable using digital systems, mobile apps and operational data

Desirable

• Project management experience or training
• Experience with SMS, workforce management tools, auditing systems or CAFM platforms
• Knowledge of BICSc standards or cleaning industry best practice
• Experience in large or complex organisations
• Experience supporting mobilisation or transformation programmes
• Knowledge of Power BI or similar reporting dashboards
• Understanding of data protection and system access processes
