Job description

Our ORB Smoking Cessation Practitioner will deliver one-to-one and group stop smoking cessation interventions within our service, supporting individuals impacted by smoking and its associated harms to make informed future choices about their use.

The post holder will work flexibly across our two main sites in High Wycombe and Aylesbury, ensuring their skills, expertise, and knowledge are fully utilized.

Responsibilities:

1. Utilize motivational techniques, assess clients' motivation to quit smoking, and maintain relationships to support smoking cessation.
2. Work with service users to identify the most appropriate tobacco dependency treatment pathway.
3. Collaborate as a core member of the multi-disciplinary team, providing 1:1 and group support, and co-working with colleagues.
4. Identify and engage potentially vulnerable individuals.
5. Assist in updating smoking cessation information materials and contribute to relevant policies as needed.
