Job summary

Kentec Electronics Ltd, based in Dartford, is seeking a Surface Mount Machine Operator to join the team and help run the SMT line, including set-up and ongoing operation of printers, pick-and-place and AOI equipment.

The role requires at least one year of experience, ability to read diagrams, good manual dexterity, and the capacity to work to tight deadlines in a manufacturing environment. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in SMT manufacturing and set-up.
• Ability to read diagrams and follow instructions.
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and adjust SMT printers, pick and place machines, ovens and AOI equipment.
• Monitor equipment to meet company standards and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Respect safety regulations and hazardous materials handling.
• Work to deadlines with high accuracy.
• Assist in running the Surface Mount Line.

We are looking to recruit a Surface Mount Machine Operator to join our department and assist in running our Surface Mount Line.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for both automated and manual surface mount manufacturing.
• Responsible for set-up, operation, and adjustment of SMT Printers, Pick and Place Machines, Ovens, AOI equipment.
• Monitor and maintain equipment to meet company standards.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Maintain all housekeeping/safety regulations including the handling of hazardous materials.

Skills, Experience and Person Specification

• At Least one year experience. Role training will be provided were needed.
• Experience on SMT, Europlacer pick and place equipment.
• Working to tight deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to follow instructions and read diagrams.
• Decision- making skills.
• Computer literate.
• Good manual dexterity.
• Experience of working in a manufacturing environment is desirable.

Job Specifics

• Working hours: Monday-Thursday: 14.00 - 22.00 - Friday: 13.00 - 20.00.
