Job summary

A leading manufacturer of safety equipment in Dartford is seeking an enthusiastic assembly operator to join their team. The role involves assembling custom-built life safety panels, requiring the ability to read schematics and work with various hand tools. Qualifications

  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical design drawings.
  • Experience with assembly of standard products is preferable.
  • Work with hand and power tools (drills, riveters, crimp tools).
  • Solder training preferred, but training can be given.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Create wiring harnesses and assemble custom designed control panels.
  • Report production problems to team leader.
  • Maintain an organized work area.
  • Observe, maintain, coordinate and complete a good standard of work.
  • Follow documented policies and procedures as designated by the company.
  • Follow detailed instructions, processes, and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
  • Health and Safety in the workplace.

The Special Applications production team are looking for an enthusiastic assembly operator to learn the techniques used for the assembly of various custom built life safety control and indication panels. The applicant would be expected to be able to read electrical schematics and understand mechanical design drawings, a prior knowledge to the assembly of standard Kentec product using PAF’s would be preferable.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the Team to create wiring harnesses and assemble custom designed CIE, training can be given
  • Use basic problem-solving skills to ensure production requirements are met
  • Report problems or concerns with the team leader
  • Observe, maintain, coordinate and complete a good standard of work
  • Follow documented policies and procedures as designated by the company
  • Follow detailed instructions, processes, and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions
  • Health and Safety in the workplace
Skills, Experience and Person Specification
  • Ability to follow instructions and diagrams

  • Ability to work with various hand tools and power tools, such as; drills, pop rivets, crimp tools, etc
  • Solder trained preferred, but training can be given

Job Specifics
  • Working hours: Monday-Thursday: 08:30-17:00, Friday: 08:30-16:00
