Holtec International and its subsidiary companies are designing a safe and secure source of clean energy using nuclear fission, called the Holtec SMR (Small Modular Reactor). The position is offered by SMR LLC as a member of the Holtec International family, a global turnkey supplier of equipment and systems for the nuclear, solar, geothermal, and fossil power sectors of the energy industry.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

1. Utilize Smart3D (formerly SmartPlant 3D) to create 3D electrical models of the electrical systems within and supporting the SMR plant, including single line diagrams, cable trays & supports, raceways, lighting, duct banks, cable routing, pull boxes, and embedded conduit.
2. Maintain and verify the accuracy of the S3D model, ensuring constructability and absence of interferences.
3. Develop and review design deliverables in accordance with industry codes, standards, contract requirements, and company policies.
4. Build collaborative relationships to facilitate knowledge transfer, cross-functional understanding, and effective presentation of work products.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience as a SmartPlant 3D Electrical Designer.
• Knowledge of industry/regulatory codes, standards, and design/layout criteria.
• Strong understanding of electrical drafting and design standards and techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce error-free documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills.

Optional Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with other design software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Navisworks, and Revit.
• Completion of Intergraph/Hexagon certified training courses.
• Professional certification in Electrical Design.
• Progressive experience in design or related engineering fields, including systems startup, field engineering, or plant operations in large industrial or utility plants.
