ACS Automotive in Crawley, West Sussex, is seeking an experienced SMART Repair Technician to join a busy bodyshop team. The role covers minor paintwork, dent repairs, wheel refurbishment and polishing to ensure vehicles look their best for customers.

Requirements include 3+ years in SMART repair, knowledge of repair techniques, paint mixing and a full UK driving licence. Monday–Friday, 40 hours, no weekends, with various benefits and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience in SMART repair.
• Strong knowledge of SMART repair techniques and alloy wheel refurbishment.
• Experience in paint mixing, preparation, masking, painting and machine polishing.
• A keen eye for detail and pride in producing a quality finish.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out SMART repairs, including minor paintwork, light filling and dent removal.
• Repairing and refurbishing alloy wheels.
• Preparing, masking, painting, lacquering and polishing vehicles.
• Inspecting vehicles and identifying any additional repairs needed.
• Working efficiently to meet turnaround times while maintaining a high standard of work.
• Recording completed repairs and the time taken.
• Taking care of vehicles and keeping your work area clean, organised and safe.
• Supporting the wider bodyshop team when needed.

SMART Repair Technician

Crawley, West Sussex

£36,000 – £43,300 per annum

Permanent, Full Time

Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week, between 8:00am and 6:00pm

No weekends!

Are you an experienced SMART Repair Technician who takes pride in getting every detail just right? Looking for a role where you can enjoy your weekends and still earn a great salary?

We’re looking for a skilled SMART Repair Technician to join a busy bodyshop team in the Crawley area. From minor paintwork and dent repairs to alloy wheel refurbishment, you’ll play an important part in getting vehicles looking their best and ready for their customers.

What you’ll be doing

• Carrying out SMART repairs, including minor paintwork, light filling and dent removal

• Repairing and refurbishing alloy wheels

• Preparing, masking, painting, lacquering and polishing vehicles

• Inspecting vehicles and identifying any additional repairs needed

• Working efficiently to meet turnaround times while maintaining a high standard of work

• Recording completed repairs and the time taken

• Taking care of vehicles and keeping your work area clean, organised and safe

• Supporting the wider bodyshop team when needed

What we’re looking for

• At least 3 years’ experience in SMART repair

• A positive, flexible approach and good organisational skills

• A full UK driving licence

Experience in glass repair, interior trim or paintless dent removal would be a bonus, but it isn’t essential.
