AutoSkills UK is seeking an experienced SMART Technician for a full-time permanent role in a modern repair environment. You will perform cosmetic repairs to vehicles, focusing on quality workmanship, productivity and customer satisfaction.

THE ROLE

As an Experienced SMART Technician, you will carry out high-quality cosmetic repairs to vehicles, restoring damaged areas to an excellent finish while maintaining efficiency and productivity. You will work on a variety of minor vehicle damage repairs, using your technical skills to deliver professional results and maintain high standards of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out SMART repairs to minor vehicle damage, including scratches, scuffs, small dents and cosmetic imperfections.
• Complete localised paint repairs, colour matching, blending and refinishing where required.
• Repair and refinish bumpers, panels, trims and other suitable vehicle components.
• Carry out minor cosmetic repairs to alloy wheels and other vehicle surfaces where within your skill set.
• Inspect completed repairs to ensure a high-quality finish and rectify imperfections where necessary.
• Work closely with the wider repair team to maintain efficient workflow and meet agreed productivity targets.
• Maintain tools, equipment and working areas to a clean, organised and professional standard.
• Follow appropriate repair procedures, quality standards and Health & Safety requirements.

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for an experienced, quality-focused SMART Technician who takes pride in their workmanship, delivers excellent repair standards and is motivated to maximise their earning potential.

• Must have at least 3 years previous experience as a SMART Technician, Automotive Repair Technician or Vehicle Cosmetic Repair Technician.
• Strong knowledge of SMART repair techniques, including minor paint repairs, scratch and scuff removal, and cosmetic refinishing.
• Experience with colour matching, blending and achieving high-quality paint finishes.
• Ability to assess vehicle damage and determine appropriate repair methods.
• Experience with alloy wheel refurbishment, bumper repairs or minor dent repairs would be advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to consistently high standards of workmanship.
• A productive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of workshop quality standards and Health & Safety procedures.
• Must hold a clean, valid UK driving licence.
