I am working with an Accident Repair Centre in the Basingstoke area of Hampshire who are currently seeking a SMART Repair Technician.

Job Role: Smart Repair Technician

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

Seeking a Smart Repair Technician from an automotive Body Shop or Smart environment, via an independent or franchised garage, who can prepare damaged panels, mask up vehicles in readiness for painting, carry out minor repairs to body panels and alloy wheels, and also polish vehicles following painting, among other ad hoc duties.

You will be an integral part of our team as a Smart Repair Technician, working on all types of vehicles in a modern, clean workshop. Your responsibilities include carrying out Smart repairs to cars and LCV vehicles.

Job responsibilities include:

• Repairing and refurbishing vehicle damages such as scratches, scuffs, dents, windscreen chips, upholstery repairs, leather reconditioning, recolouring, and wheel refurbishments.
• Cleaning and preparing vehicles for repair.
• Performing cosmetic paint touch-ups and local paintwork repairs.
• Maintaining equipment regularly and reporting issues to the Bodyshop Manager.

About You:

• Previous experience as a Smart Repairer within any type of bodyshop is required.
• Experience in a body shop or equivalent environment.
• Qualifications are advantageous.
• Full driving license.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and thrive under pressure in a busy bodyshop environment.
