Job summary

Group 1 Automotive Leicester is seeking a SMART Repair and Alloy Wheel Technician to perform SMART repairs and wheel refurbishment to a high standard. You will repair minor cosmetic damage, assess integrity, and ensure vehicles are returned in excellent condition.

Join a busy Bodyshop team and contribute to productivity while maintaining quality. The role offers diverse work, ongoing training, and the opportunity to develop skills in cosmetic repair techniques.

Qualifications

  • Full UK Driving Licence is required.
  • Motor industry experience is essential.
  • Experience in SMART repairs and alloy wheel refurbishment is required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to health and safety standards in a workshop environment.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out SMART repairs, including minor paint, scratch, dent, and bumper repairs.
  • Prepare and refurbish alloy wheels to a high standard.
  • Assess vehicle damage and recommend repair methods.
  • Notify Bodyshop Manager or Service Advisor of additional work identified during repair.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to meet productivity and quality targets.
  • Maintain high housekeeping and health and safety standards.
  • Deliver exceptional workmanship and customer service at all times.
  • Keep up to date with repair techniques, equipment and product knowledge.

SMART Repair and Alloy Wheel Technician– Mercedes-Benz Leicester

A skilled and versatile technician responsible for carrying out both SMART repairs and alloy wheel refurbishment to a high standard. The successful candidate will be experienced in repairing minor cosmetic vehicle damage, including scratches, dents, bumper scuffs, paintwork defects, and alloy wheel damage, ensuring vehicles are returned to customers in excellent condition. They will work efficiently, maintain high quality standards, and contribute to the overall success of the Bodyshop team.

What you’ll do day to day
