Where will you be working?

We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation.

This role will be within our Metering team. You’ll join the leading provider of metering services in the UK energy retail sector, providing efficient and flexible services for gas, electricity and water meters.

Our meter readers install, maintain and manage meters to ensure customers are billed correctly and energy usage patterns are monitored.

What will you be doing?

As an engineer, you'll be responsible for the safe installation, maintenance and removal of smart meters. Do you enjoy working independently, chatting with customers and meeting new people?

Customer service is our top priority. You'll ensure all jobs are completed on time and that our customers understand the benefits and safe usage of their new smart meters. Do you like meeting new people and making a difference in their lives?

During your day, you'll complete the installation and removal of smart meters (SMETS2) in customers' homes, typically doing around 5 jobs per day. Interested in earning extra? There’s an uncapped bonus for additional jobs completed.

You will travel around your area using your tablet to view your schedule, which is available up to 2 weeks in advance. Continuous training will be provided to develop your skills. Health and safety are at the core of everything we do. You will receive onboarding and ongoing training to ensure you're prepared and knowledgeable about safety standards. What you’ll bring

• Valid UK driving licence - held for at least 1 year with fewer than 6 points.
• CCN1 / CMA1 / CMA3 with MET1, or NVQ Level 2 in Smart Metering Dual Fuel.
• Experience installing gas and electric smart meters.
• Previous MOCOPA experience at multi-rate level.

Bonus qualifications are a plus but not required:

• REGT1, 3 phase
• Registered on the EUSR portal
