We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering, and home decarbonisation.

This role will be within our Metering team, where you’ll join the leading provider of metering services in the UK energy retail sector, providing efficient and flexible services for gas, electricity, and water meters.

Our meter readers install, maintain, and manage meters to ensure customers are billed correctly and energy usage patterns are monitored.

What will you be doing?

As an engineer, you'll be responsible for the safe installation, maintenance, and removal of smart meters. Do you enjoy working independently, chatting with customers, and meeting new people?

Customer service is our top priority. You'll ensure all jobs are completed on time and that our customers understand the benefits and safe usage of their new smart meters. Do you like meeting new people and making a difference in their lives?

During your day, you'll complete the installation and removal of smart meters (SMETS2) in customers' homes, typically doing around 5 jobs per day. Interested in earning extra money? There's an uncapped bonus for additional jobs completed.

You will be traveling around your area using your tablet to see your schedule for the day, which can be planned up to 2 weeks in advance.

Health and safety are at the core of everything we do. You will receive onboarding and ongoing training to ensure you're well-prepared and knowledgeable.

What you’ll bring

• Valid UK driving license - held for at least 1 year with fewer than 6 points.
• Qualifications such as CCN1 / CMA1 / CMA3 with MET1, or an NVQ Level 2 in Smart Metering Dual Fuel.
• Experience installing gas and electric smart meters.
• Previous MOCOPA experience at a multi-rate level.

Additional qualifications such as REGT1, 3 phase, or registration on the EUSR portal are a plus but not required.
