GS Group is seeking a Smart Buildings Engineer to work on BMS, IoT and building technology integration. The role spans design, development and delivery of smart building solutions, with a focus on cutting-edge connectivity and performance enhancements.

Ideal candidates have 1–6 years’ experience in BMS or related building technologies and an interest in cloud and networking protocols to expand beyond traditional BMS capabilities.

An exciting opportunity for a Smart Buildings Engineer with 1-6 years of experience in BMS, systems integration or smart building technologies. This role offers the chance to develop your technical skills across a wider range of building technologies, working on both innovative solutions and the delivery of smart building projects.

The Role

• Work across the development and delivery of smart building solutions, supporting projects from initial design through to implementation.
• Contribute to R&D activities, exploring new technologies, system integrations and solutions to meet client requirements.
• Help develop technical designs and propose smart building solutions to clients and subcontractors.
• Support the integration of BMS, IoT, network infrastructure, smart lighting and other connected building systems.
• Work with a range of technologies and protocols to improve building connectivity, automation and system performance.

What We’re Looking For

• 1-6 years’ experience working with BMS, smart building systems or building technology integration.
• Knowledge of Niagara is advantageous, although experience with other BMS platforms and backend systems is also welcomed.
• An interest in networking, communication protocols, cloud technologies and IoT integration.
• A desire to expand beyond traditional BMS and develop a broader understanding of smart building technologies.
