Job summary

Hoare Lea is seeking an ICT Engineer to join its London team. The role focuses on designing and delivering digital infrastructure for intelligent buildings, with emphasis on ICT concepts, structured cabling, Wi‑Fi, data topologies, and BIM integration.

You will work within Hoare Lea's Digital Solutions Group on projects across the UK and beyond. The ideal candidate brings a solid electrical/mechanical background and strong report writing skills, with experience in BIM 360, Revit, CAD, Visio,

Qualifications

Solid electrical and mechanical engineering background.
In-depth knowledge of ICT concepts and design models.
In-depth knowledge ICT Structured cabling (copper, fibre).
In-depth knowledge ICT active network design (core and access) and Wi-Fi networks.
Experience coordinating architectural ICT requirements and technical room design.
Strong report writing and ability to convey concepts visually.
Ability to create integrated data solutions and data topologies.
Understanding of Edge and Cloud IT platforms.
Experience with BIM Autodesk BIM 360.
Proficiency in Revit, CAD, Visio, PowerPoint and MS Office.

Responsibilities

Produce reports and specifications for tender, commissioning documentation and design notes.
Create integrated ICT solutions and data topologies for buildings.
Support ICT design, BIM modeling, and cross‑discipline collaboration.
Contribute to documentation and technical notes for project handover.
