Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks an Energy Manager to partner with OpenBlue customers, delivering value across the full lifecycle. You will drive outcomes, train users, and act as a trusted advisor in a startup-like environment within a large company.

Ideal candidates bring extensive HVAC/building automation experience, strong communication, and proven CRM leadership across enterprise accounts, with up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to work with customers or partners across operational and senior levels.
• Strong project management skills to manage multiple customers in your portfolio.
• Experience delivering user training, product demonstrations, and addressing operational questions to drive end results.
• Demonstrated ability to lead within a matrix organization.
• Experience driving process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers of OpenBlue to deliver value across the customer lifecycle.
• Participate in customer kick-off and key deployment milestone calls.
• Train end users on the OpenBlue value framework and success metrics.
• Provide customers with guided product tours after delivery and ensure scope alignment with contract.
• Monitor product usage analytics and establish regular check-ins for adoption and value creation.
• Review open issues and provide initial triage and training to resolve problems quickly.

Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field
