Job summary

JLL in London is seeking a Small Works Manager to oversee and deliver multiple minor construction, maintenance, and improvement projects across client portfolios. You will manage end-to-end delivery, from feasibility through handover, ensuring quality, cost control, and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of experience in small works or construction projects, with knowledge of UK building regulations, procurement, and project management software.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years experience managing construction or maintenance projects.
• Proven track record delivering multiple concurrent small works projects.
• Strong understanding of UK building regulations and construction industry standards.
• Experience with contractor procurement and management.
• Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Project Management & Delivery: manage a portfolio of small works projects from inception to completion, including feasibility, design, procurement, construction, and handover.
• Client & Stakeholder Management: act as primary client contact, conduct site visits and meetings, manage expectations and communications.
• Contractor & Vendor Management: procure and manage contractors, oversee performance, review invoices and payments.
• Financial Management: prepare cost estimates, monitor expenditures, and process change orders.
• Compliance & Quality Assurance: ensure works comply with building regulations and safety standards; maintain project documentation.
• Health, Safety & Environment: promote safety, conduct risk assessments, and ensure safe working environments.
