Job summary

Bolt Technical is seeking a Small Works Engineer to join our fire, security and electrical services team in Surrey. You will work on installation and small works across Fire, CCTV, Access Control, and Electrical systems, ensuring high-quality installations and compliance with standards.

The role offers a competitive salary (up to £50,000) plus a company van, 37.5 hours per week, and opportunities for training and progression within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of electrical installation principles.
• Experience installing and maintaining at least two of: Fire, Fire Suppression, Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, or Electrical Systems.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Good communication skills and a commitment to quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, modification, and commissioning work across Fire, Security, CCTV, Access Control, and Electrical systems.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with company, client, and industry standards.
• Maintain high standards of Health & Safety, quality, and compliance.
• Complete works within agreed timescales, including service and maintenance activities where required.
• Accurately complete documentation and support colleagues to ensure successful project delivery.

About the Opportunity

Bolt Technical are hiring for a Small Works Engineer to join a growing and established fire, security, and electrical services business.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to work across a variety of installation and small works projects involving Fire Detection, Security, CCTV, Access Control, and Electrical systems. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality installations and modifications while ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities
